These are rescans of course. But I felt an actual post was necessary.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the scans!
ReplyDeleteA question: What do you call a "rescan"? Is it a series that you already scanned before? A series that someone else has scanned before from the same edition? Or maybe a series for which exist some scanlations or whatever?
I ask because you sometimes label volumes as "rescan" but I am seeing them for the first time here.
It is a term I use rather loosely. From me it usually means that volumes in question were either scanslated or scanned previously in high enough quality, that majority of readers have no reason to take interest.
DeleteMain reasons to download them are new translation and closer look at artwork due 600dpi scanning.
Usually rescans are posted to "Rescans Mania". See the post below this one. But I felt that those old DH prints of OMG deserved post of their own. And I wanted to keep this series in one post so scans from new books ended up here too.
Ah, it's a loose term. Now it all makes sense, hehe. I'd seen the Rescans Mania post, and that was what started to make me wonder what it meant exactly.
DeleteIn my case, the official translation is a big reason to be interested in them. A lot of scanlations look really sloppy, the good ones are a minority.
