Requests and Recommendations!

Do you have opinions of which books need to be scanned? Good series to recommend? 

Scanner Canon is looking for inspiration for what books to use scanner for, so now if ever is a great time to recommend manga series!

      There is already a version of Death Note by DarkZone-Empire, from the digital edition, going around. I don't think another scan is necessary, that one is good. (Unless they wanted "Vol.13 How to Read"...)

      I agree with Berserk and Attack on Titan, though.

    Can I ask for scans of Alice in the Country of Clover: Knight's Knowledge (3 volumes - I can't find it anywhere), the 7th volume of Alice in the Country of Joker: Circus and Liar's Game, Country of Joker: Nightmare Trilogy and Alice in the Country of Clover: The Lizard Aide?     I don't know if it's possible, but I'd really like Fullmetal Alchemist. That manga, along with Berserk, is one of the titles that I'd instantly buy if it was available in my country, but sadly the publishers here can't get the rights to publish it.

    I'm grateful to Random Scans, illya_, and everyone for the high quality Berserk, but I haven't had that kind of luck so far with FMA.

    I think maybe there was another series that I'd like to ask about, but right now I don't remember any.

    I became a member only a few days ago, but If I have to ask for something, I ask for soe shounen-ai tittles, since I'm a BL fan :)

    The two volumes of Brilliant Blue by Yorita Saemi
    Baseball Heaven (Yakyuu Tengoku) by Mamahara Ellie, one of my favourite shounen-ai mangakas :)

    Remaining volumes of Soul Eater Not! and last (8th) volume of Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? and Omamori Himari. This would've been my recommendation. Also, there are spin-offs of Attack on Titan (Before the Fall and Choice without regrets) to consider, besides the main series.

    Rest of Silent Möbius would be nice. Also Slayers Special, Premium and Super-Explosive Demon Story (published 7 volumes), all by CPM. And Urotsukidoji (also by CPM). Mangaupdates says nothing about them being published in english though, don't know why.

    I feel like the typical requests of Inuyasha, Bleach, and Naruto would be out of the question? Barring that, I would like the rest of Naoki Urasawa's Pluto series to be scanned. :)

    Just wanted to mention first that I greatly appreciate all the time and effort KTK has devoted to scanning so many series over the years. I visit your site almost daily to see what you have in store for us. :) It would be wonderful if you guys were able to scan Please Save My Earth. It's an older series but a true classic.

    I'd love to see more single-volume releases from lesser known artists. Anything by Vertical or Drawn & Quarterly is great. My personal request is No Longer Human by Furuya Usamaru. Thanks for all the great titles so far.

      Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) doesn't have an official english translation. It was cut short after a few vols and the publisher is defunct.

      Most of the other ones seem fine and I'd like some of them too.

      Nine volumes out of twenty-seven volumes is better than nothing, my friend. The English translation of Blue Sky didn't come close to being finished either, btw, with only five volumes translated.

      A bunch of those are already available on this site, although some, like Sgt. Frog, are split between either two names (Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunsou) or two or more top-level categories, which you'll find next to the Main link:

    Dragon Voice volumes 5-10? Was good enough to start the whole Dragon Voice scanlation team, but only 4 volumes (and 2 chapters) were scanlated before it was licensed by Tokyopop.
    Unfortunately, it went under without releasing the last volume in English...

      Robot 6-10 JP are already scanned, and I don't really want to scan 1-5 because they made some editing choices that I don't agree with (not to mention that they're out of print and it would be fairly costly to scan them). I'm scanning the JP 1-5, however.

      Don't lose heart, though, I might scan 1-5 ENG someday, it's just not a priority right now. The price tags just put me off at the moment.

      I wasn't aware 6-10 got scanned, due to not seeing them on sites like raw hunter. But now I see they're on nyaa, with some goofy font spelling BS applied. Much thanks.

      That said, one does not necessarily need to buy all of these books to scan them. If you checked your state public library's exchange program, you'd probably be able to get some titles, like Robot, through it and not pay the ridiculous prices greedy resellers wish this stuff was worth.

      I assume this is how a lot of scans are handled, given that a number of covers have pieces omitted, that would likely include a public library tag attached to the covers.

    I would be more than happy to see scans of CMX's version of Swan by Kyoko Ariyoshi. I know they've managed to translate only 15 volumes but still I'm desperate to read them and it would be a lot easier to have to read only 6 volumes in Japanese instead of 21. Thank you!

    Could you please post the Kingdom Hearts series in both it's Tokyopop and Yen Press forms? The reason I ask for both is because while the Yen Press versions have better translations, newer material (they use the Final Mix editions with additional art and story) and overall better quality, the TP editions have much lighter ink quality. While that doesn't initially sound better, it's much more apparent when you've seen a comparison screenshot of say Ansem for example. In the Yen Press editions, Ansem is simply a giant blob of darkness and it's only if you squint REALLY hard that you can make out the details of his face. This is in contrast with TP, which has the opposite problem where some of the lines appear faded but the general details of the dark or even mid-tone parts can be seen. So that's why I would like both to be posted.
